Pine Lodge crash: Ruby Crowley’s loved ones pay tribute after teen killed in three-car smash near Shepparton, Victoria

The shattered loved ones of a 16-year-old girl tragically killed in a multi-vehicle pile-up have revealed that she donated her organs to save the lives of six others.

Ruby Crowley was in an Uber on her way to the supermarket with her stepdad Jarrod Stewart, 32, and another teenage passenger when the vehicle collided with two others at an intersection in Pine Lodge near Shepparton, about a two-and-a-half hour drive north of Melbourne last Friday night.

Ruby and Mr Stewart were airlifted to Melbourne before Ruby succumbed to her injuries two days later.

Her stepdad was put in an induced coma due to his extensive injuries and has only recently woken up in The Alfred Hospital. He is expected to undergo several surgeries in the future.

Ruby’s death has sparked an outpouring of tributes. The teen is survived by three younger siblings and her mother Amanda.

Ruby’s best friend Maddison Campbell said she had ‘her whole life still to live’.
